2021 Javelina Jundred Joy For Camille Herron
Camille Herron returns to winning ways at the 2021 Javelina Jundred in Arizona, finishing in 14:03:23, fourth overall.
Javelina Jundred is a costumed 100 mile/100 km trail run, this year celebrating its 19th edition on Halloween weekend, October 30, 2021. Held on a 20 mile rolling single track trail course comprised mostly of the Pemberton Trail in McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fountain Hills, Arizona. Organised by Aravaipa Running, JJ100 is a 2022 Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run Qualifier and Golden Ticket Race with the top two (2) female and top two (2) male finishers in each individual race automatically qualifying for entry into the 2022 Western States 100 event.
Camille’s performance set a new 100 mile course record by 49 minutes leading from the start and redeeming herself at the event after her 2020 dnf.
Arlen Glick was the men’s winner in 13:14:51 continuing a good year after winning Umstead Endurance Run 100 at the end of March.
The 100km event saw Tyler Andrews take the overall win 8:49:09 and Cat Bradley was first woman, third overall in 9:45:13.
